Reupholstering If you are going to buy new upholstery for your Cyclone which is probably your best option, there are a couple of places that carry them. www.dearbornclassics.com is one of them. Make sure all springs are in good shape and all under covering material is new or in good condition. Remember the Cyclone is over 30 years old and just because the under covering look good to your eyes, it may not be so. If the car was under the sun for an extended amount of years then the sponge might have dry rot. Try hitting the seat with your hand hard and see if the sponge dust comes up through the seat cover. If you are going to install it yourself make sure you take the seat covering out of its shipping box and leave out unfolded for a few days before trying to install it. Also leave it in a warm summer sun for a couple of hours before installing it. I believe www.dearbornclassics.com has video on how to do it.
Apron If your passenger or driver's side apron is rusted out beyond repair and you can't find one from a 70-71 Mercury Cyclone you can use one from a 70-71 Torino. Also if you can use an apron from a 1971-73 Mustang. You must trim off about an 1-1/2" of the top. Any place that sells Mustang parts should have it.
